Hi... I attended Rainbow El and my sister Peaches went to AHS (well, eventually so did I). We were there from 86-88. We were friends with Emmy-jo (emily leopold), Melissa (her sister), Sunita, Attalie Bruce and whole bunch of other people. another piece of identifying information was taht my dad was the base Librarian and my mom was a community health nurse. I will not be able to attend this year's reunion, but will be there with bells on for 2010. It is so good to find this site! |

| i attended ahs when i was in my freshman year. that would have been in 92/93. my favorite class was AVID. we obviousty didn't have that when i moved back to the states, but made the best of friendships in class. we managed to take the wonderful trip to Euro-Disney with the AVID group which was so much fun. i took track and field there as well. thanks for such wonderful experience COUGARS. and if i was mean you... i'm sorry! i was a stupid freshman! I lived in Ansbach (Katterbach) from Jan'89-May'92. I graduated class of '91. I dated Donovan Charles and we have a daughter,Kia, who will be graduating May'09. Anyone from my class would remember her always being underfoot, especially BJ Leeman. I also have 2 other children, Tarin (12) and Samira (4). My how the time flies! My best female friends were Tamiesha, Kim and Trenika (all class of '92) and Peggy, who wasn't even in school with us. The fella's were Charlie, Willie, Ricky, and so many more that should be on the list. Hello to all! I hope everyone is doing fantastic and it is great to read so many of the familiar names listed on this site! I am living in gorgeous Magnolia Springs, Alabama about ten minutes from the beaches, home of Ivan, with my husband and two boys, Cody (8) and Michael (3 1/2) and our two labs. Working as a Legal Assistant and still dreaming of Germany and Saturdays downtown, Friday nights at the Goose or Tivoli Park, and friends that will always be part of my life. Actually have a picture of Jennifer, Bethany, Dani and Sharon on my desk as I type! Thankfully got to have Vanessa and Bethany at my wedding. Hello! I attended AHS 1982-1983 for my freshman year only. I lived in Illesheim and attended school there since 4th grade. I graduated from Ellison HS in Killeen, TX. | It's Ms. Eastwood here... your old English/drama teacher ('88-'91). Tammie Melton Waitely passed along your renuion info, and I have enjoyed reading about all of you. Ansbach was an amazing and unmatched educational experience. We saw the Berlin Wall fall and Germany reunited. We felt the end of the Cold War and the start of the war on terror. We glimpsed at the birth of the internet, mourned the end of vinyl LPs, and could only imagine how cool cell phones would be. I hope you all appreciate the art and history that surrounded you, and learned lessons of tolerance and acceptance. I am proud to have taught in such a diverse environment as Ansbach and I brag about how our students accepted each others' differences. We all got along! There is a great book out there (which I have absolutely NO ties to, just found it VERY helpful and interesting as an "army brat") called "Third Culture Kids" which really helps identify and understand how we see and handle the world and relationships and issues, etc. a bit different from other kids who grew up in the same school/town/state their whole lives. | The fourteen hour drive was well worth the excellent reunion. Thank you to all of the comittee for doing a great job of getting us all together. The games, the picnic, and the dinner dance were all put together very well. The slide show was a hoot. I think if we keep this up we may want to switch to ballroom dancing so no one breaks anything dancing next time. Ha, Ha. only kidding. My husband would like to thank all of you for letting him in to our little family. He stated that he has never felt so comfortable and had so much fun at a party with people he hardly new. He understands fully now why our high school years were different and envies the conection and bonds that all of us have. Can't wait for the next one no matter what year it is in. I will never forget the fun we had this weekend!!! I am hoping we do it again VERY SOON!!! ATLANTA is 3 hours away from me....so I CANNOT WAIT!! | I was in Ansbach from 1983-1988. It's so good to read these and take a walk down memory lane. I loved playing volleyball, basketball and soccer. | Hello! Thank you for all your love! Good news: it has been nearly one week without the wheelchair! Doctors are thrilled that I am walking this soon. We know it was all those prayers sent to the man upstairs. I can't thank you all enough for everything. I still have a long & painful road to conquer with my arm, but I'm trying real hard in my physical therapy. They say I should get use of my hand again, but it could take as much as a year, & I have at least one more surgery to get through, so all your prayers are still needed. I get Abi ( my 18 month old) on weekends now, and hope by July to get her back permanently! Thanks to Vicki for the message & congrats on the new addition! What a beautiful name. | Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I am scheduled for another surgery on Wednesday, May, 9th. The doctor is removing the external fixature (the rods that have been holding my hips in place). Also, the titanium plates that cover the two bones in my forearm are to long & heavy, so they are replacing them with shorter lighter plates. I won't be able to lift more than a coffee cup for 3 months. As far as being able to lift with my right hand, I have to be sitting (because of the damage to my pelvis and sacrum. I guess it would be hard on that area if I lift while standing). Anyway, I just wanted to touch base with everyone and say thank you for your prayers. They are very appreciated. I should find out when I'm able to travel on Wed. I really hope to make the reunion. I went to college at the Univ. of TX @ Dallas, and lived there for 7 years, so I also have a lot of friends in that area to catch up with too. Much love, Raina | |||

| It has been such a blessing to have you all back in my life. As most of you know I was in a nearly fatal car accident on 03/13/07. God protected my little girl Abigail as she was not in the car. I am recovering slowly & I'm so stubborn that it is hard to sit still. I should get full use of my left hand again, & I will walk again. I have a physical therapist that is great, but it is tough and painful. I don't want to take up too much space, but I did want to tell everyone thank you for your kind words, help, care, and mostly prayers. It's amazing how after 2 decades so many care so much. I should be wireless this weekend as I've just got strict orders not to come upstairs anymore (stubborn me had to make one last trip.) HAHA!
